Hong Kong, 7 July 2015 – On August 9th, Singapore will be celebrating their 50th anniversary of independence. To commemorate this historic moment, Sino Group of Hotels, along with The Royal Pacific Hotel & Towers, City Garden Hotel, Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel and Island Pacific Hotel, invites Hong Kong people to join in the celebrations with our Singapore 50 “Feast.Win.Fly” campaign. Experience a taste of Singapore with the Singapore 50th Anniversary Set Dinner for Two
As Singapore’s National Day draws near, Satay Inn will celebrate Singapore’s multicultural cuisine with a Singapore 50th Anniversary Set Dinner for two. Whet your appetite with our grilled-to-order Chicken and Pork Satay with pineapple compote and marinated in Satay Inn’s special peanut sauce, Sambal Ikan Bilis – salted anchovies in a fiery chilli sauce and Fried Egg with Chilli Crab Sauce.

After the appetisers, experience Satay Inn’s signature dishes with the quintessential Bak Kut Teh and the succulent and boneless Signature Hainanese Chicken. Made with only the freshest pork spareribs, this Singaporean soup is infused with imported herbs and Chinese medicine, and slow-boiled for six hours. Pair the Bak Kut Teh with a deep-fried breadstick (or YouTiao) for an authentic Malaysian experience. Our Signature Hainanese Chicken are made from our chef’s daily selection of live chickens, de-boned and served with a bowl of aromatic jasmine rice with chicken stock. The dish is accompanied by three types of dips, with the ginger, garlic and green onion sauce made from a traditional Singaporean recipe whereas the sweet soy sauce and chilli sauce are also imported from Singapore.

For the main course, a tantalising selection of crustacean dishes will be making their appearance for the first time in Satay Inn. Delight your taste buds with fresh Tiger Prawns cooked in 10 different spices in the fiery Prawns Curry or the refreshing and tangy Lemongrass and Mint Leaves Prawns. For an additional HK$250, you can try the Baked Crab with Black Pepper Sauce or Chilli Maine Lobster with Roti. mud crabs are specially selected for their meat and texture, and baked with ginger, garlic, chilli and black pepper until the shell is bright orange. For the latter, Maine lobsters are selected for their reputation as the finest lobsters in the world. Served with a homemade chilli sauce, the best way to experience this dish is to dip the roti in the delicious sauce.

Another iconic Singaporean dish in the set menu is the Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee – a mixture of yellow noodles and thick rice vermicelli, fried with eggs until fragrant and served semi-dry and garnished with prawns. For dessert, durian fans can also rejoice in the pungent Durian and Sago Mousse made from fresh durian, sago and pandan leaves.

The set-dinner menu is available from 13 July and throughout the month of August. Priced at HK$498 for two, each person can enjoy a complimentary bottle of Tiger Beer each or a glass of cleansing barley water for those opting for a healthier option.

In addition, we have also created a list special cocktails to celebrate Singapore’s Golden Jubilee. Inspired by Singapore’s landmark is the Merlion cocktail (HK$88), it features a delicate blend of tequila, young ginger juice, sour plum, honey syrup, lime juice and egg white topped with soda. The Satay Inn Sling (HK$88) is an interpretation of the iconic Singapore Sling featuring Sling Caviar (a mixture of lemons leaf infused gin, Cherry Herring liqueur, Benedictine, Cointreau, Grenadine and Algin). The Bugis Passion Mai Tai (HK$88) is a concoction of three different rums, Barcardi, Malibu and dark rum mixed with passion fruit and pineapple juice with a drop of grenadine.
